As a frequent visitor to San Antonio, I have tried everything from desserts, drinks, brunch and everything in between. Below is a list of my personal favorite San Antonio Restaurants and what I love to get at each.
Before we get into the restaurants, I highly recommend staying at the Hyatt Regency RiverWalk and have written a full article about my experience HERE.
Hyatt Regency RiverWalk San Antonio
123 Losoya St, San Antonio, TX 78205•(210) 222-1234
Brew's Lee Tea - 4009 Broadway St, San Antonio, TX 78209
If you are a fan of boba, smoothies and sweets, then look no further than Brew's Lee, a quaint boba shop with the legendary "split cup" that can contain two flavors. The interior had a cute mural, a prop telephone booth and a whole bunch of oddities to take photos with - perfect for pictures!
If boba isn't your style but chocolate is? Then right next door (literally) is your ultimate candy paradise - Chocollazo (4013 Broadway St, San Antonio, TX 78209)
Walking in it's part candy store, part chocolatier with the truffles and unique cakes being the showstopper of the black and white themed shop. The variety of bejeweled truffles was staggering but the other exotics like chocolate dipped bacon also caught my eye.
I highly recommend either of these spots for a quick treat.
The Art of Donut - 3428 N St Mary's St, San Antonio, TX 78212
The love and attention put into not only the quality but the unique flavors at this adorable shop will become clear with each bite you take. They truly are inventive, different and trying to think outside the box and guess what? They nail it! While it's hard to pick one flavor, the white chocolate pistachio or the cinnamon toast crunch option were both awesome choices! Also, don't sleep on the cereal milk lattes - they will knock your socks off!
La Panaderia - 301 E Houston St, San Antonio, TX 78205
La Panadería, has beautiful handmade bread and pan dulce inspired by Mexico’s Golden Era, or Epoca de Oro. I had the tequila infused croissant and it was as flaky and delicious as you would imagine!
Boozy's Creamery - 711 S St Mary's St, San Antonio, TX 78205
Alcohol and ice cream? Honestly have you ever heard of a better pairing? At Boozy's Creamery, a family run operation, Josh and I were amazed at how many unique and different boozy treats they had on the menu - not to mention the delicious flavors like pina colada and wedding cake.
Come check them out for a fun treat (virgin or not) and keep an eye on their social media for many fun events they've been throwing throughout the year!

CommonWealth Coffeehouse - 611 Hemisfair Boulevard, San Antonio, TX 78205
With delicious coffee and light fare, this is the perfect option for a quick lunch or an easy breakfast before you head out to sightsee. We really enjoyed the lattes and the crepes but devoured the sandwiches without a second thought!
Folklores Coffee - 5009 S Flores St, San Antonio, TX 78214
This funky little coffeeshop and cafe is a bright, color-lovers dream adorned in tinsel and two awesome murals. I was in heaven! Walking inside we were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and hooked up with the coffee drinks of my dreams. A toasted marshmallow latte, The Joker - a cereal covered concoction and a Poptart topped shake surely cured any sugar cravings we may have had. I came for the drinks but stayed for the cool people, interesting art and the A/C haha.
PharmTable - 106 Auditorium Cir, San Antonio, TX 78205
For those that want to eat local and organic on their vacation, Pharmtable is a "can't miss" spot for any meal of the day. With a quaint inside and a nice patio, you'll love the environment as much as the beautifully plated, artful food.
I had the Keto Salad with Coconut oil seared collards, fresh greens, beet-kimchi, toasted coconut, turmeric saffron cabbage, hemp seeded avocado, roasted cauliflower, ras al hanut coconut cashew dressing.
Josh got the Farm to Table tacos with 3 non-GMO, heirloom corn tortillas with local roasted, pickled, & raw veggies with vegan almond spreads, beet cashew 'crema’.
Burgerteca - 403 Blue Star #105, San Antonio, TX 78204
Josh and I wanted something a little different for dinner and Burgerteca came highly recommended and now I can tell you - it was for good reason. For a mexican-infused burger joint, it. was. fantastic!!!!! WOW!
I ordered the Chile con queso burger with a beef patty, chile con queso, black beans, tomato, cilantro, chipotle lime-mayo, house made corn chips and nearly cried when it was finished - it was truly SO good and so unique... I was in love.
Josh nabbed the Chilaquiles burger which had the perfect amount of tang and crunch with its delicious beef patty, salsa verde, house made corn chips, crema, queso fresco, black beans, fried egg.
We also got the Mexican Street Dog which was a beef dog wrapped in bacon, tomatillo ketchup, manchego cheese, diced tomato, pickled jalapeño, diced onion.
Down on Grayson - 303 E Grayson St, San Antonio, TX 78215
This modern American-style restaurant was a stop on our list for one thing in particular: the ultra cheesy sliders and fries!
I had seen them on the web in the past and knew that we needed to try them for this list - it's research right?!
While they might not be for anyone on a diet, if you are ready to try some delicious grub with no-holds barred, this is your place.
The best part? The Pearl brewery and Pearl district are within walking distance so you can make a day of it!
Sangria on the Burg - 5115 Fredericksburg Rd, San Antonio, TX 78229
Have you ever heard of something as magical as pancake tacos?! Yes, seriously. Breakfast tacos served on fluffy pancakes topped with a jalapeno maple syrup and served with home fries were on the menu and clearly we could help ourselves! While this packed and reservations recommended brunch spot clearly had a LOT of great picks on the menu, after a full weekend of eating, the tacos were all I could muster. I promise you though, if you head to this spot, you won't be disappointed in the array of options and the hefty portion sizes!
